Long ago (and I mean long ago!) there was a memorable (to me) Sunday funnies page cartoon in the Pittsburgh  Press. It showed two odd characters with a quart of ice cream.  They had just discovered that there was a fake bottom to the carton that from the outside made it appear that it contained much more ice cream than it did.

An ice cream fanatic myself, for a long time, I kept that cartoon—I’m not sure why.  I thought of it the other day when I realized that the box of Kleenex I had just opened contained single-ply tissues.  Who ever heard of the brand name Kleenex without double-ply tissues?!!

Is there nothing we can count on now-a-days?!!
