I don’t actively look for new things to worry about.  I especially prefer not to worry about things over which I have no control.

Even though there is no chance that I will be around to see this happen, I have learned that the world has an important population change on the way.  In about sixty years, we will have reached our peak population and then the world population shrinks.

People are having fewer offspring.  And even though people are living longer, if we don’t replace ourselves, population will decline.  People who know a lot more than I do worry that lack of population growth will be detrimental to the world economy, that we need to replace ourselves to thrive.  Other people who know a lot more than I do think overpopulation is bad for the world.

If I had three “to-do” boxes “In”, “Out” and “Too Hard”, I know where this one would go.

I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you. Lots of migrants. Then we have dogs! And of course AI.
